On Monday, November 9, we decided to do a photo shoot. It was sooo fun!

Life Goes On
So many changes have happened this year. It almost seems sad to think about.
Three of my friends (Jordan, Emma and another girl) have become wives this year. Two more are engaged to be married.
Friendships have started and others have broken.
But life goes on...and I must press on.
When the valley is deep
When the mountain is steep
When the body is weary
When we stumble and fall
When the choices are hard
When we're battered and scarred
When we've spent our resources
When we've given our all
In Jesus' name, we press on
In Jesus' name, we press on
Dear Lord, with the prize
Clear before our eyes
We find the strength to press on
In Jesus' name, we press on
In Jesus' name, we press on
Dear Lord, with the prize
Clear before our eyes
We find the strength to press on
To press on
God bless you all!

Medieval Day
On September 5, we went to the Wallace’s for our annual speech day. Our topic this time around was the Middle Ages. So…I made my own dress and helped with the preparations. We had a Medieval market and “sold” goods. I almost went hoarse before my speech!
Here is our family after the speeches. Even my dad and mom dressed up!!!
September 10-13th -we went to church every evening for church service (except on Sunday, then we had only a morning service). Brother Gerd Rodewald from Germany and Brother Hildebrandt from Canada spoke for each service. We had lots of people and an overwhelming flow of the Holy Spirit. It was awesome!
Another thing that happened during the meetings was on Saturday. We went to the Wallace’s house for lunch. As usual, Brother Russell fired his canon (a WONDERFUL experience!) and we all played walleyball (indoor volleyball). It was a lot of fun. We also went on a “blazer ride”. We had 26 people on the vehicle!!!! It was a very bumpy and painful ride, but I enjoyed it!
Wednesday, September 23, 2009 the girls and I went to Sister Rachel William’s house for a tea party. It was so lovely! I enjoyed myself immensely! I will be posting pictures soon…
And that’s all for catching up for now.

So Busy! (cont.)
Before the wedding, I stayed with the Ericksons. They are wonderful hosts and hostesses! I loved spending time with them. (I miss them a lot!) Justin is hilarious and Nathan is so wise. Lauren is sweet and funny and Mariah is..well…Mariah. lol!
We had a tea party, I helped can corn, and we watched history videos on YouTube. We had late nights and midnight Hershey’s snacks. :P Mmmm!!!
We also went to the mall and dressed up in trencher coats, hats, and whatever else we could find.

We have had very busy weeks lately! I went to Ohio and Michigan in August for a wedding and a visit. Emma was a lovely bride and was so amazing! She was calm throughout the entire planning and wedding. It was shocking. She made her own wedding dress as well as some of the bridesmaids and junior bride’s dresses. She planned the wedding, designed the invitations and programs and organized the whole thing. Emma Mast is now…

Emma Horst and has a husband, Wayne Horst.
It’s so weird to think that she is married!
Anyway, I was her violinist in the wedding and it was nice. I was not nervous!
The groomsmen painted Wayne’s truck as a prank. Lol!!!!!
To be continued....

A Beautiful Sight
Today, June 8, 2009, I watched a beautiful thing happen. It was the first time I had ever witnessed such a site. I am sure you are wondering what it is that I am so awed about, so I will tell you.
My sister, Grace, is fascinated by caterpillars and is often bringing them inside. (Much to Ma's distress.) She once brought in two extremely fat ones that had what looked like metal spikes all over it. Then, one day, she brought in three interesting black ones with red heads and a wee bit o' yellow. She put them in a jar with some grass and a screen over the top and left them. After a few weeks, Grace came to me with a puzzled expression on her face, "Where did the caterpillars go?" I looked in the jar to find that there were three cocoons on the walls of the jar. I told here that they were inside these and she was relieved. (Mother told her about the life cycle of a butterfly later on.)
After a month of the caterpillars being in the jar, Grace called me outside. Two butterflies were awaiting release from the small jar! As we released them, the third cocoon began shaking vigorously. We watched in awe as the cocoon broke open with an audible click and out came a wet, deformed-looking butterfly. We let it crawl onto my arm and I put it on our tree. We watched as the butterfly's wings slowly unfolded and dried as it drank nectar from the flowers on the tree. It was the loveliest of them all, though it waited longer. Though it was once an ugly, black caterpillar and had to stay in its home all alone for a long, long time, it emerged a pure and beautiful testimony of God's awesome handiwork.
We could all learn from the butterfly.

My Family Loves Music
My family and I love music. Josiah and Grace play the harmonica, Melody plays a lap harp, my mom and I play the violin and my dad plays the guitar.
These Are a Few of My Favorite Things
I love:
The smell of: leather, horses and rain
The sound of: thunder rumbling, rain falling, saddles creaking, horses neighing, children laughing, lively chatter, and singing
The sight of: a bookshelf filled with books, a pasture of horses, happy children playing, baseball games, smiling faces, rain pouring down and Amish buggies.
